A platform is a place where you can use interactive media content. For example, a mobile device is a type of platform that is useful to carry around as they are small and easily portable. Phones/tablets would be used for something on the go so for example, a survey at a football match could be done there and then on someones phone. This would be preferred over a an interactive TV if you are travelling somewhere however an interactive TV is better in a rooms it is in a fixed position and is more suitable for people who want a large screen in their house to watch shows or look through holiday destinations with family or friends. Aside from interactive TVs being very useful for looking at a large screen with high quality, you can also access apps on your TV such as YouTube and Netflix
